AD110 – K&B Upgrades/Extraction/Life Safety Systems

Social Housing Contract

Solace MEP working on behalf of city of Westminster council were appointed to complete upgrades to domestic dwellings within the social housing sector.

The project consisted of full EICR inspections to ascertain the current condition of the properties many of which had not been inspected as part of routine maintenance programs. Following these initial visits Solace and the principal contractor produced specific scope of works for each individual housing asset to encompass both the historical defects/observations and new installation works.

Installation works consisted of newly upgraded kitchen and bathroom areas to suit clients design, additionally new state of the art extraction systems were installed to promote air-flow and prevent damp/mould from reoccurring within dwellings especially the older/period properties held by the local authority.

Smoke detection was also upgraded to suit latest regulations as prescribed by BS-5839 and Fire Safety Act-2021
