MTWH Boiler Room Project

The final proving period and snagging of our MTHW boiler room project in Windsor is coming too completion and we have received fantastic feedback from the client and end user.
The plant installed, capable of delivering 6.4mW at a flow temperature of 130°C, forms part of a major district heating network and includes the following equipment which we have supplied, installed and commissioned:
- 4no 1.6mW Boilers including new flues
- New gas supply including 4no Gas boosters
- 2no HWS Calorifiers
- Plate heat exchangers transferring fluid from MTHW to local LTHW systems
- Pumps, inertia bases and associated controls
- New side stream filtration units on the heating systems plus new water conditioners and reverse rinse filters on the domestic water services
- New building energy management systems including new metering and gas safety systems
- Full water treatment, flushing and commissioning processes
- New lighting and emergency lighting systems
- Thermal insulation
Our design responsibility included taking the stage 4 information through to RIBA stage 6. This involved the production of fully coordinated Revit models and COBie data to ISO 19650 standards. The precise 3D modelling allowed us to reduce timescales onsite and minimise health and safety risks given the necessary welding/hot works were undertaken offsite under controlled conditions. In addition full equipment schedules complete with asset IDs have been produced to allow the production of a detailed asset tagging system.
A special mention to our team who have performed to the highest level and have delivered a phenomenal end product 👏 👏
